As the emerging blockchain secured internet, referred to as Web3, may broadly be thought of as a re-wiring of the world wide web through distributed, user-led control. Assured digital agency and the technological tools that generate a comparative or equivalent authentication standard as is presently found in real world, physical ownership structures thus genuinely authenticated ownership-control becomes a fundamental requirement for Web3’s enactment.

In short, users themselves are already decentralized. It is their autonomous access, choice and use of networks with their own chosen, ad-hoc or selective disclosure and implementation of personal data that must now be secured. Concurrently, any user who is not in direct control of their identity, data, assets or choices cannot be said to be able to freely choose. Therefore, the infrastructure and security needed to enable confidential autonomy is a prerequisite for Web3.

This infrastructure and security are what NEST® provides. Our objectives are:

A _ Facilitate the robust technical framework which actively permits users’ self-direct and confidential ownership-control throughout the Web3 ecosystem as it grows;

B _ Enable real-world provenance and authentication to thereby digitally secure users’ unthrottled trusted engagement and exchange across Web3;

C _ Structure and maintain the required toolsets for the transference and control of off-chain information into on-chain activities, through both proprietary as well as open-source frameworks.
