Perhaps one of the most familiar terms. Generally speaking, this is a software application that enables its users to access and/or view data on the internet. Some of the most popular browsers today include TOR, Brave, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Microsoft edge. Each of these browsers is being powered by an engine. As a comparison, Google Chrome is powered by an engine called V8 whereas the Firefox browser is powered one called Spider Monkey.
