NEST® GLOSSARY
Deployment refers to all the process that are involved in making software available for use. The Deployment process involves different types of environments, that go across from the ‘local environment’ where it is written, to the ‘development environment’ where it is enhanced and refined and then ‘staging environment’ where it is used in a kind of live testing. The exact or precise number of deployment environments that may be needed in the setup, polishing and then release of any software, DLT or other digital solution does of course itself depend on the requirements and complexity of said project. In other words, how many environments and stages to Deployment are covered really depends on the individual use-case.
